① Environmental Issues

Yokkaichi City Environmental Protection Division

"Environmental problems that are currently happening on Earth - problems and their causes and solutions "

  • After dividing into two groups and visiting the Yokkaichi Pollution and Environmental Museum for Future Awareness, a discussion about nitrogen compounds, PM 2.5 and global warming was held. After the two lectures, the students were further divided into four groups and discussed about the theme "Environmental problems that are currently happening on Earth - problems and their causes and solutions" .

② Education and human rights volunteer

Educational support for Myanmar

  • The lecturer talked about three aspects about Myanmar, namely, support for legal maintenance, support for educational reform, and support for reform of the entrance examination system. It was also his responsibility to convey both the good and bad aspects of the Japanese educational system.

③ Cultural Research

Professor Mitsuyoshi Numano, Professor of Literature, Tokyo University

"Potential of literature in the globalization era - from Japanese literature to world literature -"

  • From a viewpoint of the world literature including Japan, issues discussed including what "literature" is, where to draw the line for Japanese literature, translation issues of haiku and so on. A retrospective look on literature from a broad perspective was possible.

④ Law and History

"Collective self-defense rights and Constitution · Japan's security and other issues"

  • With regard to the territorial issues of Japan and the world and the way of China, a lecture on international treaties and declarations was given.

⑤ Medical Issues

Nagoya University, Medical School, Professor Takahashi Takashi

"Medical Research"

  • While talking about the results of recent medical researches such as the treatment of cancer, the conditions that helped a person to materialise what he or she had wanted to do were also taught. Finally, there was a discussion about what the participants would like to accomplish in their groups and what they would like to achieve in what part of the world by the age of 35.

⑥ Global business

Rikkyo University, Professor Katsumi Hirakawa

Disease called Globalism

  • A talk on how to acquire the ability to achieve "honmono" (the real thing) without being influenced by "globalization" was given. Regarding the way of society of the future, the participants were divided into teams and discussed the following topics: ① " Continuing running the nation based on the principles of focusing on capital and competition in the future, and ② " Aiming towards a welfare state with as much equality as much as possible ".
