Professor Kohei Kubota, Associate Professor, Graduate School of Agricultural Life Science, University of Tokyo

　First we had a lecture on food chain and biological interaction. Then in the first half there was a lecture on the influence on biological interaction caused by global warming and the second half on the influence on biological interaction caused by foreign organisms. After that we had group work on what things can happen and what we must do in order to minimize such influence.

　(First half) Students actively exchanged their opinions on what they could do to stop global warming. They were sympathizing with the opinion such as importance of disseminating information through SNS and message "nothing changes if you do not do anything. Even small things must be continued."

　(Second half) Students exchanged opinions on the influence of alien organisms and presented their opinions as a group. They were able to get to know stories about alien species and their influences and it was a good opportunity for them to think deeply.

Confectioner　Ms. Aki Nakamura

　After high school, she moved to the U.S. and graduated from university in the state. she talked about the experience of traveling 47 countries around the world for 2 years since she was 26 years old.

1. Prejudice: Stereotype lurking in society

　We tend to stereotype people on a daily basis. For example, stereotyped roles are applied biased by race and people think the person is a terrorist by the appearance.

2. Human rights violation: Rohingya refugee cases (Myanmar & Bangladesh)

　Unfair human rights violation such as ethnic discrimination and persecution, oppression of faith, restriction of movement, infringement of right to receive education, female discrimination and sexual violence, SNS hate crime.

Toward Solving: Initiatives of NPOs (Japan)

　Activities such as Japan Refugee Association and Big Issue Japan

<Group discussion / presentation>
Discussed "prejudice and stereotypes " or "human rights issues" in the group and give concrete solutions. Each group gave presentation on topics of 'talk smack through SNS', 'human rights of male', 'educational background and human rights', 'human rights of foreigners living in Japan', etc., and received comments from lecturers.

Mr. Kunihiko Tsujide (Yomiuri TV Organization Department Multimedia Promotion Dept.)

　The lecture started with the history of the media and the history of television. Lecturer compared the program structure of the TV and column of 2002 and explained in a clear way. He also talked about current situation of Japan about declining birthrate and an aging population. He introduced the social role of media and examples of multimedia development centering on TV programs (movies, distribution, web, events, goods, overseas deployment etc.).
　Students were divided into two group and had a discussion.

1. "Television programs have changed a lot but what can we do from this? Please summarize your thoughts on changes in the television industry and the society."

2. Let's think about TV program planning after 10 years

Summery:Lectuer gave comment to students. "Many ideas came up from students were actually under consideration such as VR. They all are wonderful ideas. There was an idea we wanted to adopt."

Professor Koji Aikei, School of Law, Nagoya University

・What shall we learn from British EU withdrawal referendum　

→Lecturer explained with using an example of translation of the Scottish nationalist party, the speculation and tone of each main character, and the explanation of the result of the referendum.

・Universality of the Constitution of Japan

→Difference between constitutional discussion and controversy over constitutional amendment. He used example of Brooklyn Museum and the Kikuchi Hiroshima incident. lecturer explained relationship between public expenditure on art and the Constitution. Is it possible to decide by civil majority vote in art?

・ What is constitutionalism?

→Aim is to guarantee the basic human rights of individuals, the government has a constitution as wisdom and ingenuity.

・Realism of Constitution Article 9

→It is not even a moment that Japan was "disarmed" after the war. It does not mean that the goal will be achieved simply by making the SDF constitutional constitution. Politicians must discuss on this issue. I want them to gather information widely and grasp the problem. Regarding the argument on Article 9, we must think about the situation in East Asia and other countries, not only Japan's interests.

Professor Shunichi Takeda Graduate School of Medicine, Study of Radiation Genetics, Kyoto University

　In the first half, Prof. Takeda talked about his own research and experience and necessary elements to be a medical doctor. Doctors must obtain vast knowledge of medicine and to utilize it. Also it is necessary to have ability to care others. He also mentioned that if you really want to become a doctor, it would be better to enter the medical department early and start your medical career rather than sticking to the famous medical school. He mentioned that the importance of accumulate valuable experiences especially when you are young such as studying in overseas and devote yourself to research.

　In the second half, he introduced the cancer immunotherapy of Professor Shozo who was awarded the Nobel Prize this year and treatment costs, Japanese medical system, medical insurance etc. Student had group discussion on a topic of "What ingenuity can we do to reduce the deficit of medical expenses?" and then had presentations.

　Lastly, he introduced two students who graduated from Yokkaichi High School and entered Kyoto University School of Medicine. One is now practicing at a university hospital in Thailand and the other one is taking training course at Stanford University.
