アジア・オセアニア地球科学学会（AOGS）2026で発表しました！
On August 3, second-yearstudents from the SSH Biology Club participated in the high school postersession at the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) 2026, held at MarineMesse Fukuoka. They presented their research, titled “A Model for the Origin ofLife,” in English.
Thiswas Yokkaichi High School's first presentation at an international conference.Although communicating their research and answering questions in English waschallenging, the students worked hard to communicate with researchers usingEnglish and gestures.
Throughinteractions with researchers from Japan and abroad, the students gained newperspectives and valuable advice. They also learned about the latest researchequipment and technologies at the company booths.
8月3日（月）、マリンメッセ福岡で開催されたアジア・オセアニア地球科学学会（AOGS）2026の高校生ポスター発表に、SSH生物部の2年生が参加し、「A Model for the Origin of Life」をテーマに英語で発表しました。
四日市高校にとって初めての国際学会での発表でした。英語で研究内容を伝えたり、質問に答えたりすることに苦労しながらも、身振りを交えながら懸命にコミュニケーションを図りました。
国内外の研究者との交流を通して、新たな視点や多くの助言を得ることができました。また、企業ブースでは、最新の研究機器や科学技術について学びました。

“Iwas frustrated that I could not answer questions well because my English wasnot good enough. I realized that speaking English better would allow me tocommunicate with more researchers. This experience has motivated me to improvemy English.”

Buildingon this experience, we hope to further develop our ability to communicate inEnglish, deepen our research, and actively share our findings with audiencesboth in Japan and around the world.

「英語が十分に話せず、質問にうまく答えられなかったことが悔しかったです。もっと英語を話せれば、より多くの研究者と交流できたと思います。今回の経験をきっかけに、英語をもっと学びたいと思いました。」
